BECOME® Institute is the parent organization. Its work is based on the research of scientist, author and serial entrepreneur Eric Bartels, developed across a series of books, and expressed in the BECOME® Ontology, the BECOME® Framework and the BECOME® Program.
BECOME® Practice is the implementation practice of BECOME® Institute and is delivered exclusively through BECOME Alliance. BECOME Alliance is a wholly owned subsidiary of BECOME® Institute.

At BECOME® InstituteAlliance is not a fourth activity. Practice is an activity of Institute; Alliance is the company that delivers it.
How Alliance works
One integrated enterprise, built with entrepreneurial Partners.
Partners participate through their own entities and develop their own BECOME® Practices within Alliance. They work on behalf of BECOME Alliance, using its shared identity, methodology, standards and commercial infrastructure. That combination — individual entrepreneurship inside one company — is what makes the client experience the same wherever a Program is delivered.
BECOME Alliance B.V. contracts with clients, invoices them and collects payments, and is responsible for the delivery of the Program.
One methodology and one quality standard apply to every Practitioner. Practitioners are developed through BECOME® Academy to represent the methodology faithfully.

BECOME® Institute was founded by scientist, author and serial entrepreneur Eric Bartels, whose research into exceptional leaders and organizations produced the Ontology, the Framework and the Program. The organizational history begins in January 2004, through predecessor organizations that became BECOME® Institute.
